How to draw panel from sponge print

Idea of the original panel and the frame to it. The whole creative process is incredibly simple and quick, and the result is, in my opinion, it is worth the effort to it. Make a mural under the force of even those who does not know how to draw. So  begin to create a masterpiece …

for this we need:
paper for pastels (available watercolor or other)
color ink (I had acrylic, but it is possible and gouache and watercolor)
sponge foam rubber or himself foam
clothespins
glue stick
hot glue
stapler
tracing (optional)
splits
a pair of scissors, a knife paper, pencil
napkin to decorate the frame (optional)

For we need the butterfly patterns. You can print it on thick paper (I had a paper for pastels) on the printer or put drawings on tracing paper, then a stapler to attach tracing to a thick paper with a knife to cut out patterns. The number and kinds of patterns can be any. Only one template cut out a contour of butterflies, and other drawing on the wings ..

Choose the size of our panels. I took as a basis the size of an A4 sheet size of 30 * 21 cm. Put a sheet of A4 sheets of paper in the middle of pastels (A3) and draw out a pencil on the perimeter …

Now you need to prepare a “brush”. To do this, cut a sponge for dishes into several parts (for each color butterfly own “brush”), bend them in half and fix a pin, on sale there are special such brush with foam instead of the pile, and it is, as they say, an economy option – cheap and angrily.

We begin to happen !!! With the help of a large stencil begin to “portray” the butterflies. Maknёm our “brush” to paint and “sponge” (I’m not drenched sponge paint because I had so enough liquid) stencil. First, better to use darker tones ..

Here are two butterflies have flown to us at the light …
IMPORTANT !!! In the process of applying the butterflies do not forget to give them to dry, otherwise the stencils will stick to the film and would be a shame …

Add another multicolored butterflies, butterfly wings when hurt each other or are overlapping – it’s nothing to worry about. I then applied to paper big yellow butterfly (unfortunately forgot to take pictures of this stage) …

Our task – to fill all the space of the sheet so that almost no white spaces. One large butterflies is quite difficult to do, so the course is a pattern with a small butterfly (you can generally use only a small pattern). Their first I also  butterflies darker shades and finally yellow.

No need to draw too many butterflies, even if we were white spots uberёm them now. For this maknёm our “brush” in gold paint and tidy “prochpokaem” white space. Gold paint – I gouache (I did not use water). By the way, gold paint in the sunlight looks very impressive …

Now, take a stencil patterned wings. I applied a pattern of black paint, but here the hostess only your imagination and you can take any dark shade (light, I would not advise, I think he will merge with the background).

And so I did.

For visual volume I have added a few more white butterflies (namely white, not bright colors). By the way, do not rush to throw out the stencil, he gave us more useful in the end …

Finally, our panels ready !!!
Here is a riot of butterflies we got !!!
If you want, you can leave the panel and so, as you can make a frame. If you wish to make a frame won, then look continued below …

Here is a pattern, it is also then cut out.

Here in the end we have to get here are the sides of the frame in expanded form.

I decided to decorate the frame in decoupage technique.
IMPORTANT !!! If you want to do the same, it is necessary to frame you’ll cut it. I had a napkin with poppies, that’s what happened …

Then take thick cardboard (I have part of the package of toys) stuck on his sheet of paper the same size as our panel (I have the size 21 by 30 cm), you can not stick, but simply draw a rectangle the size of … Lay off with the long sides by 1.5 cm and cut …

Here in the photo : cardboard strips by 1.5 cm reserve only with the long sides, with the short sides should be cut straight along the border of a sheet …

We begin to stick to the sides of the frame of the base web (the adhesion site on the pattern indicated by a pink color to claim 17).It used a glue stick, by the way, and also for bonding sheet (the adhesive from the surface warps and dries quickly) …

IMPORTANT!!! Note that the short side of the frame is attached to the long side overlap!

It turns out like this

Now, from a sheet of A3 size cut out of our panels and put it into our frame like this …

Fold the edge of the frame and insert the corners … here we need a little skill …

As a result, we get our masterpiece here in such a great frame. This frame is more convenient because you can, if desired, can be replaced by a picture inside it, it is not glued but simply piled up, though, if you do not plan to change the picture of the inside, it is better to glue the corners a little bit

That frame slightly different angle. Fly my butterfly on poppy field …

n order to not be seen cardboard, I pasted a frame around the perimeter of jute twine, used hot glue.

Remember you and I left a stencil out of small white butterflies … now it can be put to use. Pencil draw around the wings silhouette butterfly pattern and cut it in small scissors … Voila! The butterfly is ready! Planting it on the edge of the frame and enjoy the view …

This is the result of our work … In my opinion a very good idea!

We hang our panels on the wall, sit down in front of and admire !!!

Thanks to everyone who had the patience to read to the end!
